We sell 2 versions of motor kits for 3 different machines. Please read the full description below before buying.

We also sell this kit for 4 different machines. The Renzetti/Clemens Machines will require you to remove the Pulley off the chuck for installation. It is highly recommended to attempt this before buying.

Whats Included:

  • Motor Unit
  • Foot Pedal
  • Extension Cord for foot Pedal
  • PowerSupply
  • Silicone Long Lasting Belt (Size will be included on packing slip as well)
  • Renzetti/Clemens units come with a locking pulley-degreewheel as its required to replace the stock pulley. We are changing from the stock V belts to silicone O rings.

Our motor kits feature a brand new pedal and DC power supply aswell as a remote to change the direction of the motor even when you're down the lathe working at the tip of a rod. We also have an always on mode for drying epoxy and sanding rods without changing a belt. We include a silicone Oring belt with each kit that perfectly grabs our motors' pulley for maximum torque while still being able to slip in an emergency. The always on dryer mode does require you to set your speed each time to avoid turning on the mode at full speed. It effectively shorts the pedal out. Turning it on while at wrapping speed could result in rapid disassembly of your chuck jaws.

Our first option in this kit is a lower power, smaller motor designed for wrapping thread and assembling complete rods. Its smooth and powerful yet remains smooth to the touch as you reverse it by hand.

Our second option in this kit is a high power motor designed for heavy sanding and high torque applications like doing deckhand style cord grips. This option isnt as smooth as the smaller motor. When you turn it by hand you can feel the motor magnets and it can be jarring to use on delicate hand thread work. You can wrap and assemble rods with this kit but its harder than using our smaller motor.

Renzetti written instructions-
Remove motor and Pulley from your chuck. There is a set screw on the pulley that needs to be loosened. Take alchemy pulley and hand tighten the set screws hand tight (do not overtighten). Take motor box and align pulleys to chuck, tighten down box to track :).
