Every 90 and 45 degree is marked for decorative wraps aswell as special marks for our acid wrap guide placements at 40, 140 giving you a fast and repeatable acid wrap everytime.
Our degree wheel snaps onto the inside of the large pulley with the 3 different sizes of belt grooves. Simple unscrew the set screw on the smallest channel and slide off your pulley. Push and twist ours on, its a snug fit. Reattach your pulley and you're off to the races. Our pointer has 2 separate pointers for easy viewing while down the side of the rod. It also features a threaded 1/4x20 hole ontop for attaching a 3rd party laser line for your rod lathe. We provide a link to a compatible laser with every purchase. We do not sell the laser ourselves.
Here is a compatible Laser for sale on ebay, It will thread into our hole and you'll need to hand align and focus it to the centerline of your stands. https://tinyurl.com/ACRlaser
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (Video coming soon)
You will need a 2.5mm Allen key, and Some 5 Minute Epoxy. Please be careful with the indicator arms, that is the square piece with the two fragile white pointers. If yours is broken contact us immediately.
On the left side of the alps chuck, the pulley with 3 grooves. Inside the smallest groove there is a set screw. Use a 2.5mm Allen and loosen it until the pulley can slide off to the left.
Take your degree wheel and push it onto the outside of the pulley. Some of these take a tremendous amount of force and will snap on with a slight twist of the hand, while some may not snap at all. There is tolerance changes in alps chucks for this dimension. If your degree wheel does not snap on, we recommend using some 5 minute epoxy under it to secure it to the pulley. Check to make sure it doesn't easily spin or you will lose alignment.
Re attach pulley. Take the pointer and remove the seal on the double sided tape on the inside. Plop onto the square part of the alps chuck, Ideally you'd want 1/16 to 1/8th of a gap from the pulley. Be Extremely careful with the indicator arms. They will snap off with around 8lbs of force. If your indicators came damaged in shipping contact us immediately I will send you new ones free of charge. We could've made these pointers larger, but they would lose the accuracy we'd like to keep. The wheel has been made smaller in recent months to not block the dryer pulley belt area.
